Arnold Johnson is the CEO of Arnson Innovate and founder of Heritage Outreach Foundation; two brands that have the interest of people at heart. He has been on the lookout for people with interest in Arts and Technology to nurture through a series of programmes and projects.
On June 1, 2022, which was his birthday, he marked it with a life changing opportunity for the young people in Samreboi, one of the towns in Western Region, Wasa Amenfi Municipality. Partnering with Passion Technology, he organized a two-day intensive digital capacity building workshop which trained fifty basic school children in IOT, Drone piloting and robotics.
The program would never be successful if these selected children did not put in their maximum best and show interest in the program. All the children who took part were very delighted to be a part of the training and experiencing the practical aspect of what they usually see on television. An up close communication with a few of the children yielded positive responses from them and it is not surprising that they wish it were an everyday thing.
In an interview with the media, Mr. Johnson said “This era of web 3.0 and industry 4.0 is making automation the language of the day. The swift Technological and Industrial development in our society and the need to embrace the change it brings cannot be overstated. Therefore, the need to equip the younger generation is a necessity and this is how we give back to the society”.
Indeed this was a birthday worth celebrating and as a matter of fact, we all wish this agenda will move to the highest level providing young people who have the passion the opportunity to be nurtured and groomed in the various Tech sectors.
